Without a proper water management plan any site is over or under watered as seasons change.
Under watered landscape shows signs of stress in a matter of days or weeks, but over watering can go undetected.
As well as wasting money, over watering is known to cause the following problems.
- Nutrient loss: The nutrients are washed away by the excess water.
- Pollution: The chemicals washed away by water runoff cause nonpoint source pollution.
- Excludes air: Plant roots need oxygen. Excess water leaves less room for air infiltration.
- Weakens plants: Makes landscape susceptible to diseases. Contributes to shallow rooting.
